“We live in what is, but find a thousand ways not to face it. Great theater strengthens our faculty to face it.” –Thorton Wilder
The Rosendale Theatre’s new Live Theatre Season launched in December 2021 with Number 11 Productions’ revolutionary version of A Christmas Carol. In 2022, we continue a season of thought-provoking, imaginative, and highly entertaining live theatre! We will celebrate new contemporary plays as well as tried and true classics. We intend to inspire and enhance the cultural life of our Hudson Valley community. We believe the power of live theatre lies in its immediacy and in its recognition of what it is to be human. We will also work with several companies around the Hudson Valley to bring you inspired staged readings of new and old works in an informal setting. So come on out and see a play right here in Rosendale! We are also announcing in 2022 the start of The Rosendale Teen Theatre. Stay tuned for more information!
