Presented as a live radio play, We Hold These Truths was first heard on December 15, 1941, seven days after Pearl Harbor. It was written, produced and directed by Norman Corwin. The radio play was followed by an address to the nation by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and was commissioned to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Bill of Rights.
The cast includes Mourka Meyendorf, Fatima Deen, Susan Einhorn, Lydia Pidlusky and Ann Citron. Vocals and Music by Fre Atlast, Caru Thompson and Julia Hanes. The play is directed by Ann Citron.
There will also be a voter registration drive in the lobby starting at 3:00pm conducted by The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan, grassroots organization that works to protect and expand voting rights and ensure everyone is represented in our democracy.
