The Poughkeepsie Newyorkers, a male, four-part a cappella harmony chorus will present “Sentimental Journey”, its 2016 annual show, at the Rosendale Theater on Sunday, September 18 at 3:00PM. The chorus and quartets will perform a selection of songs in the Great American barbershop style. The chorus is also celebrating it’s 55th anniversary of singing in the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas. The Poughkeepsie Newyorkers perform throughout the year at Dutchess Stadium, concerts, nursing homes, birthdays, anniversaries, Singing Valentines, and many other occasions.
Guest quartet “Frank the Dog”, the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 2013 Mid-Atlantic District Quartet Champion and current International Qualifying Quartet will also perform.
It’s an afternoon of great a cappella music that the whole family can enjoy. The program will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, including a short intermission. Tickets are $20.
