In Memory Of Singer-Songwriter Rodriguez
An Oscar-Winning Documentary about modern music’s most famous disappearing act.
The most incredible comeback in modern music involves Detroit singer-songwriter Rodriguez. After recording obscure but respected albums in the early 70s, and unable to catch on in his native country, he called it quits.
But the cult figure was coaxed out of retirement – three decades later. A 2013 documentary chronicled his career resurrection – and won the Oscar for Best Feature Documentary.
The one-night-only screening will be a memorial tribute to Rodriguez, who died August 9 at 81.
