Celebrates Landmark 1973 Concert
By Musical Legend
Concert Footage Unseen for 50 Years
Carole King made history with her landmark 1971 album “Tapestry,” the best-selling rock album up to that point. Only two years later, King would make history again.
On May 26, 1973, the multi-Grammy-winning artist starred in the first free concert in Central Park, drawing 100,000 fans. The concert was filmed — then shelved for a half-century.
The concert documentary will have a one-night screening at the Rosendale Theatre on Wednesday, August 9 at 7:00pm.
Directed by George Scott, it runs 79 minutes.
