View and Bid on the Wreaths. Located at both Canaltown Alley and the Rosendale Theatre’s lobby. Festive Gathering at 8:30 pm on Sunday, December 9 after the final performance of The Santaland Diaries. The Rosendale Theatre ushers in the holiday season with a new, unique fundraiser, the First Annual Holiday Wreath Show and Silent Auction.
Local artists have been invited to design a holiday wreath (or object d’art) to be displayed in the lobby of the theatre and in Canaltown Alley, next to the theater right behind the Big Cheese. Wreaths are being made in a wide variety of styles and materials. Artists have been asked to let their imaginations run wild. Traditional wreaths aplenty will populate the show as will more unusual and fanciful fare. Expect the unexpected! Fiber…metal…plastic…the materials are unpredictable. Wreaths will have a minimum bid of $25 unless otherwise specified by the artist.
The Wreath Show will hang for the weekend of December 7, 8 and 9 and silent auction sheets will be on hand for bidding during the following hours:
Friday 3 pm – 9 pm
Saturday 12 pm – 9 pm
Sunday 12 pm – 9 pm
The auction will culminate in a festive gathering on Sunday, the 9th, at 8:30pm right after the final performance of the Santaland Diaries.
All proceeds benefit the Rosendale Theatre.
