Volunteer of the Week: Anita Peck

Anita was a large contributor in the very first days of the Rosendale Theatre Collective. She now volunteers at the theater at least twice a month and can always be counted on the lend a hand when she is needed. We are very grateful for her dedication to the Rosendale Theatre!

When did you first come to the Rosendale Theatre?

1949, the year it opened.

Why do you volunteer for the Rosendale Theatre?

The Theatre has been such an important part of the community and it is very important to continue, even though the original family no longer owns and manages it. A community theatre requires a plethora of volunteers to succeed and I am ceratinly willing to step up to the plate on a regular schedule and also when needed.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Rosendale.

What is your favorite movie?

Drama: To Kill a Mockingbird;  Musical:West Side Story

What do for a living and/or want to be when you “grow up”?

Tourism and Hospitality – I don’t think I will ever grow up

What words do you try and live by or what is you life philosophy?

Being helpful, kind and considerate to all people….A smile can make someone’s day and a laugh a day keeps one healthy.

Anything else you would like everyone to know about you?

Keep learning! Knowledge is more important than “things.” Someone could take your bike, but no one can take your knowledge.
