DROP TV is Children’s Media Project’s creative, high-energy series produced for youth, by youth…amped up and nearly ready for prime time!
DROP TV youth, under the guidance of professional and peer mentorship, are involved in all aspects of planning and production (and post-production): they draft and research story-lines, write scripts, scout out locations, schedule shoots, film and edit their works. This process provides local youth the undeniably marketable skills they need to further develop their goals and careers.
DROP TV highlights short youth-produced videos made by youth producers as well as work from other young video-makers from around the world. DROP TV producers receive hundreds of videos made by youth every year and choose the best short works to share with DROP TV audiences. Some organizations frequently highlighted include: Reel Grrls, Perpich Center For Art Education, Bay Area Video Coalition, and Camera Etc.
