ONE YEAR, TWO CRANKS, FIVE BUCKS ($1 FOR MEMBERS)!
We’re celebrating the one-year anniversary of WTF Wednesday with a double feature of the wildest action franchise ever captured on digital video, CRANK & CRANK: HIGH VOLTAGE!
Filmed largely on rollerblades by co-directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, and starring Jason Statham in back-to-back career best performances as contract killer and bonafide “sh*t magnet”, Chev Chelios, the CRANK duology asks the question “what if you remade SPEED, but instead of a bus, it was a guy?”
These are movies that must be seen to be believed, and even once you’ve seen them, you’ll likely still be in disbelief that they actually exist and got a wide release in more than 2000 theaters across the country.
Come early for the action-packed preshow from our friends at Sleepover Trading Co. starting at 6:30pm!
CRANK (2006):
There are a thousand ways to raise your adrenaline. Today, Chev Chelios will need every single one.
Chev Chelios (Jason Statham), a hit man wanting to go straight, lets his latest target slip away. Then he awakes the next morning to a phone call that informs him he has been poisoned and has only an hour to live unless he keeps adrenaline coursing through his body while he searches for an antidote.

CRANK: HIGH VOLTAGE (2009):
He was dead… but he got better.
Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) wakes up to discover his nearly indestructible heart has been surgically removed and replaced with a battery-operated ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity in order to work. After a dangerous escape from his captors, Chev is on the run again, determined to get his real heart back and wreak vengeance on whoever stole it.
