Is This Thing On? is a heartfelt and humorous dramedy about love, loss, and rediscovery, directed by Bradley Cooper. After nearly two decades together, Alex Novak (Will Arnett) and Tess Novak (Laura Dern) decide to end their marriage amicably, forcing them to navigate the awkward transition to separate lives while co-parenting their two boys. As Alex unexpectedly finds a new sense of purpose on New York’s stand-up comedy scene, Tess reckons with the personal sacrifices she made for family and explores her own passions. Along the way, old friendships and new challenges test their evolving bond and ultimately make them question what love really means in midlife (with supporting performances by Bradley Cooper, Andra Day, Amy Sedaris, Sean Hayes, Christine Ebersole, and Ciarán Hinds).
