In The Gallery: Barbara Holt – Watery Views

Free Event
Sat, Jul 22,
4:30 pm

Opening Saturday, July 22, 4:30 – 6:00 PM

Come down and see summery interpretations of our gorgeous local surroundings! All art works in this exhibit are rendered in beautiful watercolor paint, often with additions of pastel and other media. Many depict ponds and lakes in our region and beyond.

Barbara’s art will be in the Gallery until August 18, 2023

Barbara Holt is an artist who has created in many styles, techniques and mediums over a long period of time. She has a BFA in Painting from the School of Visual Arts, and an MFA in Painting from SUNY New Paltz. She has also studied at the Woodstock School of Art and the Boca Raton Museum School.

She taught art at many levels for thirty years in NYC and the Hudson Valley. In retirement she lives and maintains a studio in New Paltz, New York. She travels frequently to California and Florida and utilizes those landscapes as inspiration.

Her paintings have been in group and solo exhibitions, including NYC, Florida and the Hudson Valley. Her expressions in Fine Art are gaining momentum and focus now that she is fully retired from Art Education.
