TOTEM, an exciting local Jazz ensemble with Mark Dziuba, Jim Donica and Chris Bowman, are head-lining. Guitar virtuoso and SUNY New Paltz professor Mark Dziuba has studied and worked with greats like Pat Martino and John Scofield. Bassist Jim Donica has played with a bevy of Jazz troubadours and currently tours with the legendary Chita Rivera. He’s toured nationally with the late Jazz great, Maynard Ferguson. Drummer Chris Bowman, became involved in studio sessions and the New York downtown music scene in the early 80’s. He co-founded Shock Exchange with Dave Bryant (also a player for Ornette Coleman) and John Turner. Joining TOTEM on stage will be the illustrious Ms Sara Jecko.
For over sixty years the Rosendale Pool has provided the Town of Rosendale with aquatic programs that have become vital to the residents and neighbors of Rosendale. The Town of Rosendale Summer Camp Program is a vital service to the working parents of Rosendale and the surrounding area. 210 campers rely on the opportunity to swim in the pool located right next to our Pavilion which is the home base to the Camp. The Rosendale Pool is very important to the students and staff of the Brookside School. The ramp located in the pool has provided the severely disabled and wheel chair bound students with a vital summer rehabilitation and recreation program that is very sadly missed due to the closing of our pool in the year “2012”. Over 100 special needs and non-assisted students per season depended on our pool from the Brookside School.
So far, 1.1 million has been raised to rebuild the pool and about 100K still needs to be raised. Donations may be made to: The Rosendale Theater Collective Earmarked; Pool Project and sent to PO Box 545 Rosendale NY 12472. All Donations are tax deductible.
