About the Rosendale Theatre Collective

The Rosendale Theatre Collective is dedicated to preserving the historic Rosendale Theatre and enhancing the cultural life and economic vitality of Rosendale and Ulster County through film, the performing arts, and educational programming.

As of August 19, 2010, The Rosendale Theatre Collective is now the owner of the Rosendale Theatre!

The Rosendale Theatre on Main Street in Rosendale, New York.

Thanks to the support of the community, the Collective has reached the goal of purchasing the historic Rosendale Theatre. We are truly grateful to you and your friends and neighbors who stepped up to make this happen, generously donating your time, services, and financial support to preserve this historic theater.

Securing the mortgage is just the beginning, of course! In the coming weeks and months we will begin expanding the programming, renovating the space, upgrading the equipment, and raising the funds needed to complete our capital campaign. It is an exciting and challenging time and we look forward to your continued involvement. We also want to thank the Cacchio family, founders and owners of the theater for more than sixty years, for making it available to be purchased and run as a non-profit organization. The Rosendale Theatre now belongs to all of us!

We invite you to browse our site… Learn more about us, see our upcoming events, find out how to get involved and make a donation.

The Rosendale Theatre Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We thank the Children’s Media Project for allowing us to raise funds under their fiscal umbrella up until our own 501(c)(3) came through. All donations to the Rosendale Theatre Collective are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Thank you for your interest and support. By working together, we are making this happen!

Thank you for helping us purchase and preserve the Rosendale Theatre.
